Inventory valuation method: Weighted Average Cost
ABSS uses the Weighted Average Cost (WAC) method for inventory valuation by default. Every time stock is received (via GRPO or production), the average cost is recalculated. The stock value shown in the inventory screen uses this updated average cost.
Negative stock alert
ABSS warns you when a transaction would take an item below zero stock. Items showing negative quantities (highlighted in red) usually indicate a purchase receipt was not recorded in ABSS, or a sales invoice was posted with an incorrect item quantity. Investigate and post the missing receipt to correct the count.
