Discounts
For: Admins (and roles with this permission) — company-wide discount on or off, and at which level
Title Discount Configuration. Subtitle: Configure Discount for the company. This is not a list of discount codes.
Settings → Discounts → Enable + Applies On → Save Configuration
What this is for

Enable Discount for the company: Checkbox. Off means discount fields are not used company-wide
Discount Applies On: Shown only when enabled. Item Level or Transaction Level (required)
What it affects: Whether documents can take a discount, and whether that discount is per line (item) or on the document total (transaction). It does not set a default % here

Tick Enable Discount, pick Item Level or Transaction Level.

Click Save Configuration.
Note: Additional Charges are a separate named-charge list. This screen only toggles discount behaviour.
