Sales Order Tag
For: People who label sales orders for easier tracking and reporting
Purpose: Understand what the Sales Order Tag master does and how it helps you mark and group sales orders
What This Module Does
A sales order tag is a coloured label you can attach to sales orders — for example, Priority, Export, or Repeat Customer. Tags make it easy to spot, group, and filter orders at a glance. Each tag has a name and an optional colour.
The Sales Order Tag master lets you:
- Create the tags you use to label sales orders, each with its own colour.
- Search and list your tags.
- Rename or recolour a tag.
- Delete a tag that is no longer needed (only when no sales order is using it).
Main Features (What You Can Do)
1. Create a Sales Order Tag
You create a tag by giving it a name (required) and an optional colour.
- The system generates a unique tag ID automatically (e.g. TAG-001).
- The name must be unique within your company (case is ignored).
- The system records who created the tag, so you always know where it came from.
2. View and Search Tags
You can list all your tags and search by name or colour. Each tag shows who created and last updated it. The list is paginated.
3. Edit a Sales Order Tag
You can rename or recolour a tag. If you change the name, the system checks it is not already used by another tag in your company, and records who made the change.
4. Delete a Sales Order Tag
You can delete a tag only when no sales order is using it. If one or more sales orders carry the tag, deletion is blocked.
